Alright We Get It. You Love Your Cats.

Alright folks, gather around because I've got a story for you that will make you laugh, cringe, and feel grateful for all the good great dates you've been on. This is the tale of my disastrous date with a girl I met on a dating app.

It all started when I swiped right on her profile on this new app. She seemed like a fun, quirky girl with a great sense of humor, and I was excited to get to know her better. We messaged back and forth for a few days and eventually decided to meet up for a drink.

A date who has too many cats!

I arrived at the bar early and grabbed a table with a view of the door. When she walked in, I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed. She looked nothing like her pictures. Her hair was a different color, her face was much rounder, her smile was crooked and she was obviously wearing hand-me-down clothes. But I tried not to let that bother me and decided to give her a chance.

We ordered drinks and started chatting. That's when things started to go downhill. She spent the entire time talking about her cats. And not just in a normal, "I love my pets" kind of way. No, this girl was obsessed with her cats. She told me about their litter box habits, their favorite toys, and even their grooming routines.

I tried to change the subject, but she kept bringing it back to her feline friends. Eventually, I had to excuse myself to go to the bathroom, and when I came back, she was showing pictures of her cats to a couple at the next table.

As the night went on, it only got worse. She started talking about her ex-boyfriend and how much she and the cats missed him. She even showed me pictures of him on her phone. I couldn't believe it. I was on a date with someone who was still hung up on their ex and more interested in their cats than in getting to know me.

I finished my drink as quickly as possible and made an excuse to leave. She seemed surprised and disappointed, but I didn't care. I had had enough of the cat talk and ex-boyfriend reminiscing.

So, there you have it, folks. My disastrous date with a girl I met on a dating app. The moral of the story, you ask? Make sure you do your due diligence and really get to know someone before agreeing to meet up. And if they start talking about their cats too much, run for the hills.

Great blog. I have a dog that I love but I understand that many people don't have an affinity for them. That's why I put my little pup in his crate when I have a new girl over.
